Nice to meet you! I’m Lo Lee

I have been traveling Brazil from a young age and started exploring the world on my own at 16 when I first moved to Germany to study abroad. Since then, I’ve visited over 40 countries and earned two architectural engineering university degrees and working full-time in the United States.

At 24, I found myself in a burnout-led life crisis and started solo traveling full-time as a way to relax and find out what my life should look like moving forward. About a year later, here I am, still traveling and sharing my adventures on this blog.

My favorite travel destinations: I feel very connected to Brazil and visit the country yearly! My fianceé is Korean so we also squeeze in at least one trip to Korea and Japan every year!

Where I’ve lived

I’ve been a nomad since childhood, always moving to different cities within Brazil due to my parent’s jobs. As an adult, I kept things moving and lived alone in multiple countries!

My travel blogging philosophy

My favorite travel destinations are centered around nature and wildlife, but I also enjoy exploring cities and appreciating local architecture—after all, I graduated in architectural engineering in college!

My blog is where I share unfiltered photos, opinions, and guides, showing the real side of travel—both the beauty and the mess.

I’m all about budget-conscious travel, but I’m not into extreme sacrifice—no sleeping on benches or living off rice and beans. I explore the world without breaking the bank, making travel accessible and relaxing.

Why carry oner?

Well, I’m too bougie (and weak) to be a backpacker, and I am too broke (and lazy) to travel around with a checked suitcase. In my travels, I just bring a carry on!

Where I’ve been!

I’ve been to 45+ countries and wrote about my experiences traveling many of them:

  • Brazil: My birth country that I return to yearly! Brazil was also the best destination of my backpacking trip so far because I got to explore many of the country’s hidden gems. So far, I had an amazing time visiting:
  • Japan: stopovers in Japan are mandatory during my yearly trips to visit my in-laws in Korea I find soaking in Hokkaido’s onsens is one of the most reenergizing things to do!
  • Philippines: Where I got my scuba diving certificate and fell deeper in love with the ocean. The two weeks I spent in the Philippines were essential in my depression recovery, making the country one of my favorites on Earth.
  • United States: The US was my home for 7 years, and I got to explore a ton of what the country has to offer.
